Jaxon Cunningham is a multi instrumentalist based in Orange County who is involved with multiple recording projects and locally gigging ensembles. Jaxon began his journey in music at age eight as a classically trained pianist before picking up drums and guitar. He involved himself as a percussionist for the Oak Middle School jazz band and later joined the APA MMET Pop program in the Huntington Beach school district which he is still currently involved with. Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, Jaxon has over 5 years of experience playing live with multiple ensembles of varying styles and types, and gigging with multiple instruments. In addition to this, he also has obtained many skills in the audio engineering field and oftentimes organizes recording projects or engineers sound for live events. Jaxon also has experience in the composition field by writing original music. His skills as a composer can be shown in the soundtrack he made for a short film called “three hundred sixty” by Josh Lieu. Currently, Jaxon is still performing with multiple groups across Orange County for both public and private events; as well as continuing to push himself and learn new instruments and skills such as bass, sitar, vocals, and recording skills.
